CherokeeChat.org was formed to replace the Cherokee Pilots Association [CPA] which was sold and merged with the Pilot Owner Society [POS].

Over many years the CPA had been the home of Cherokee Chat a members only forum in which members were able to learn and provide technical knowlege about flying or owning Piper Cherokee aircraft.

The Cherokee Chat forum operated succesfully for many years without censorship. That lack of censoreship caused this unique forum to develop a forum character that is probably unmatched on the internet.

Most forums operate with a Moderator constantly checking, changing or deleting posts which violate the forum rules.

So why, you must you ask, did the CPA's Cherokee Chat manage to operate their forum without it being policed ? The answer to that question lies in the comradeship of flying or owning a Cherokee which eventually "wins through" disagreements and occasional personal attacks.

This site is the gateway to a replacement forum that will never be censored and as near as possible emulate the style and nature of the moderated old forum.
